When the whole internet takes a nap.

When the whole internet takes a nap.
Short summary: A massive Cloudflare outage knocked major global services offline.

Bro, this one hit like a sudden summer storm — out of nowhere, bang, half the internet goes dark. Cloudflare, the backbone for so many services, had a major meltdown, and suddenly everything from X to Spotify to OpenAI just… vanished. Even Downdetector went down — the watchdog that tells you everything is broken was itself broken. La galère.

What a reminder of how fragile our digital world really is. One big hiccup in the global CDN/DNS machinery and it feels like the whole planet holds its breath. I was sitting here in the south, coffee in hand, watching my tabs spin like they were trying to summon the gods of connectivity 😅.

These moments always make me think about decentralization — how much we trust a few giant infrastructures to keep the world running. Days like this? They highlight exactly why many of us fell in love with crypto and distributed systems in the first place.

Anyway, internet’s crawling back now, so enjoy the calm returning… and maybe cherish that brief forced detox.
