US consumer sentiment hits rock bottom.

The latest University of Michigan survey just dropped — index at 55.4, basically scraping crisis levels. The last time it felt this bad? 2008 vibes… or summer 2022, when inflation was running wild at 8%. 🥵

People in the US are clearly worried:
➤ Economy, jobs, inflation — all flashing red in the public eye.
➤ Personal finance outlook fell another 8%.
➤ And 60% brought up tariffs and trade policy themselves — proof that geopolitics is hitting wallets.

Inflation expectations are sticky too:
• 1 year ahead → 4.8% (no change).
• 5 years ahead → climbing to 3.9% from 3.5%.

For $BTC and $ETH, this kind of gloomy consumer mood is a double-edged épée: risk-off markets usually hurt crypto in the short run, but if trust in the economy keeps crumbling, the “digital gold” narrative shines brighter long term. ✨
