US Commerce Department goes on-chain with $Sei. 📰⛓️

Big news from Washington: the US Department of Commerce just announced it will start publishing official macroeconomic data directly on the $Sei blockchain.

Why does this matter? Because for the first time, critical stats like CPI, unemployment claims, and GDP could be released trustlessly, on-chain — no middlemen, no delays, no “oops the website crashed.” Just data anchored in real time, visible to anyone with a wallet or block explorer.

For Sei, it’s a massive credibility boost. Until now, it’s been known mostly in trading circles as a fast L1 built for finance. But with a US government agency choosing it to host official economic numbers, the narrative shifts: Sei becomes infrastructure for institutional-grade transparency.

Personally, I find it wild — I remember when blockchains were just playgrounds for degen swaps and JPEGs. Now, Uncle Sam himself is putting macro data on-chain. Ça bouge, les gars. 🚀
