The UNDP just announced the launch of a Government Blockchain Academy — a training hub for states to finally get serious about blockchain, crypto tech, and even AI. 🎓🌍
The mission? Help governments move beyond “pilot projects” and into real-world adoption. The focus areas are telling:
⊹ Digital IDs & financial inclusion.
⊹ Transparent procurement & anti-corruption.
⊹ Tokens and smart contracts for climate goals (think carbon credits).
It’s wild to see the same tech once born in cypherpunk forums now being taught to bureaucrats in suits under the UN flag. On one hand, ça fait sourire — crypto becoming institutionalized. On the other, this could actually push adoption in ways we can’t even imagine, especially in developing countries where broken systems are the norm.
When the UN trains governments on blockchains, you know the narrative has changed: from “shadow money” to infrastructure of the future.
