Trend Research is playing hot & cold with $ETH.
Two months ago they dumped 79,470 $ETH at an average price of $3145 — pocketing around $250M. Fast forward to today: they’ve borrowed 88M $USDT from Aave, pushed it to Binance, and already scooped up 9377 $ETH at ~$4400, spending $41M.
Ça sent un peu la FOMO institutionnelle — they’re buying back higher, clearly betting that $ETH hasn’t peaked yet. Either they miscalculated their earlier exit, or they’re riding a bigger strategy where short-term losses don’t matter compared to the upside they expect.
For me, it’s always fascinating when the so-called “smart money” ends up chasing the market like retail. If giants like Trend Research are willing to swallow a worse entry, maybe the bull case for $ETH is even stronger than we think. 🌊
