SpamGPT — buy a pro AI-hacker for $5k.
Dark news from the underbelly: a new toolkit called SpamGPT is being sold on underground forums for about $5,000, promising to turn even low-skilled crooks into professional phishers.
It’s dressed like a legit email-marketing suite — campaign manager, SMTP/IMAP setup, deliverability testing, analytics — but weaponised. The dashboard even has an integrated AI assistant named KaliGPT that writes phishing copy, suggests subject lines, and optimises campaigns to boost click-through rates. That combo makes scams terrifyingly efficient.
Attackers are abusing trusted infrastructure (cloud mail services, SMTP providers) and AI to bypass filters and scale attacks. In short: it lowers the bar for mass phishing and massively raises the damage potential for both consumers and businesses. Mon dieu — ça craint.
If you build or custody crypto, keep an extra eye on this: a single stolen key or API credential harvested by a convincing email can mean catastrophic loss. Defences that matter now — MFA, hardware wallets, strict key hygiene, internal phishing drills, and aggressive outbound email filtering — aren’t optional anymore.
Stay paranoid and share with your dev/devops friends — the tools that market used to fight spam are now being repurposed to make spam professional. 😬
