SEC & CFTC plan a joint roundtable.
On September 29, the SEC and CFTC will sit at the same table to talk about "harmonizing" their regulatory priorities. Sounds super bureaucratic, but trust me, this is big. These two agencies often act like divorced parents fighting for custody of crypto — one sees tokens as securities, the other as commodities.
If they can align even a little, it could bring more clarity to the U.S. market. Clarity = less fear for big institutions, and that often means more liquidity flowing in. I’m not naïve though — sometimes “harmonization” just means more red tape for us petits investisseurs. Still, I’ll be watching closely.
Feels like one of those moments where the rules of the game could shift. And if $BTC and $ETH get a clearer status out of this, the market could finally breathe easier. Pas mal, non?
