Prediction markets land on Hyperliquid.

Quick look: Hyperliquid just rolled out the HIP4 Prediction interface on testnet — letting users trade outcomes of events like simple prediction markets.

I opened the test page out of curiosity, and honestly it gave me that familiar feeling from the early days of on-chain experiments — when you’re not sure yet if something will become huge or stay a niche toy.

The idea behind HIP4 (Prediction) is pretty straightforward: markets where traders bet on the outcome of real-world or platform events. Think of it like trading probabilities. Instead of buying $BTC or $ETH, you’re buying a position on whether something will happen or not.

The demo market they launched is pretty fun: “Who will win the HL 100-meter dash — Hypurr?” 🐆

Of course this is just a testnet interface, nothing serious yet — more like a sneak peek of the UX. But the design already feels very close to Hyperliquid’s trading style: simple orderbook, clean layout, and fast execution.

And if you step back for a second, this is actually a big direction for crypto. Prediction markets are one of those ideas that keep coming back every cycle. Platforms like Polymarket proved people love trading narratives, news, politics, sports… basically the probability of reality itself.

If Hyperliquid manages to plug prediction markets into its already liquid trading ecosystem, things could get very interesting.

For now it’s just a sandbox. But sometimes the most important crypto ideas start exactly like this — a weird little test page that only a few curious degens open at night.
