Phantom enters the stablecoin game.

Phantom enters the stablecoin game.

Wallet Phantom launched $CASH, a USD-pegged stablecoin with payments & rewards.

Okay, ça bouge fort du côté de Phantom. They’re not just a Solana wallet anymore — now they’re stepping into the stablecoin + payments arena with Phantom Cash. The new $CASH token (built via Stripe’s Open Issuance and Bridge infrastructure) is meant to be more than just another dollar-on-chain.

We’re talking about:
⚡️ instant bank top-ups
🤝 P2P payments between users
💳 Visa debit cards linked to your wallet
🎁 rewards for simply holding $CASH

It feels like Phantom is building its own mini-ecosystem, blending the smooth UX they’re known for with some real-world payment rails. If they pull this off, it could give $USDC and even $USDT some competition — at least within their community.

My thought? Adoption will depend less on tech and more on trust. People will ask: “Why hold $CASH instead of $USDC?” And that’s the mountain Phantom has to climb. But damn, I like the ambition.
