Optimism enters its “new era.”
OP restructures, refocuses, and aims at enterprise onchain growth.

I love when a project takes a hard look in the mirror, même si ça pique. And that’s exactly what the Optimism team just did. The co-founder openly admitted they were doing too much, hiring without a tight strategy, and spreading the product across everything from Unichain to Worldchain — all without a unified operating model. Classic “too many plates spinning, none really landing.”

Now they’re calling this moment a full reset: one structure, cleaner execution, reworked engineering, refreshed enterprise direction. A proper spring cleaning, but crypto-style.

The new Optimism agenda feels sharp:
• build scalable financial infrastructure,
• help large companies bring their assets onchain,
• and then make those assets actually productive.

It’s a bold lane to choose, especially as Solana, Avalanche, Arbitrum, Tempo and others grab for the same enterprise pie. But honestly, I respect the conviction. From my balcony overlooking the Med, reading this with an espresso, I get the sense OP Stack wants to play grown-up now — no more scattered side quests.

If they deliver, $OP could move from “just another L2” to a serious backbone for corporate blockchain rails. Big if… but big upside too. 🚀
