One $BTC holds exactly 100,000,000 satoshis.

Satoshi Nakamoto made $BTC natively divisible to 8 decimals, so it scales from big treasury moves to tiny day-to-day payments without breaking a sweat. Think of sats as the “cents” of Bitcoin:
• 1 sat = 0.00000001 $BTC
• 1,000 sats = 0.00001 $BTC
• 1,000,000 sats = 0.01 $BTC

If $BTC ever hits $1,000,000, then 1 sat = $0.01 — one cent. Suddenly your coffee, tips, and microtransactions make perfect sense. Add ⚡️ (Lightning) on top and those tiny payments get fast and cheap — c’est carré.
