You’re redirected to a fake “security alert” page
Told an urgent update is mandatory
Asked to pass a so-called 2FA check
Then comes the fatal step: enter your seed phrase
Game over. Wallet gone. Control transferred.
They even add fake emails “from MetaMask”, deadlines, countdown timers — psychological pressure 101. And it works, because fear kills logic.
