Humans are losing to AI in a trading arena.
In a human vs AI tournament, traders are down −28.8% while AI portfolios hover near zero. Cold, stable, unemotional.
I read this and felt a little chill, not gonna lie 😅
A live tournament, humans against neural nets, real money, real pressure. The human side? −28.8% ROI. Blood, stress, bad decisions at 2 a.m. The AI side? Almost flat. No hero trades, no panic, no ego.
And that’s the key. AI doesn’t get bored. It doesn’t revenge-trade. It doesn’t feel clever after one good position or stupid after a bad one. It just executes. Over time, that calm becomes an edge.
This doesn’t mean humans are obsolete. We still read narratives better, feel regime shifts earlier, sense when something smells off. But in pure execution, especially over long stretches, machines are starting to look… safer.
