Ethereum wants privacy everywhere.
The Ethereum Foundation just dropped its PSE Roadmap: 2025 and Beyond, and it’s all about making confidentiality a default, not an exception, in the $ETH ecosystem. The old “Privacy & Scaling Explorations” is now reborn as Privacy Stewards of Ethereum — even the name feels more committed.
Here’s the vision: privacy should run through the whole stack — from the base protocol to infra, apps, wallets, even governance. Not just hidden transfers, but private identity, voting, finance, everything. And of course, all that has to be secure, easy, affordable, and still regulator-friendly. Pas facile.
The roadmap focuses on three pillars:
🔴 Private writes – making private onchain actions (payments, votes, dapp interactions) as cheap and smooth as public ones.
🔴 Private reads – letting you query and interact without revealing who you are or why.
🔴 Private proving – scaling confidential proofs so anyone can use them.
It feels like a long arc: from “Ethereum is transparent forever” → to “Ethereum is where you choose what’s visible.” If they pull it off, $ETH could become not just the world computer, but the world’s private one too. 🔒✨
