Binance’s ex-staff built $ASTER DEX, with CZ advising on the side.
He admits it outright: Aster is a competitor to Binance, yet part of the same $BNB Chain family. Classic CZ move — play both the chessboard and the pieces. And it’s working: this week Aster even overtook Hyperliquid in daily perp volume, a serious flex in the DEX wars.
What fascinates me is the shift — once the king of centralized trading, CZ is now quietly backing the decentralized wave. Peut-être it’s legacy-building, maybe just hedging bets, but either way, Aster’s rise is a signal: the next big battle in crypto won’t be CEX vs CEX… it’s DEX vs DEX.
