Crypto wallets under attack.

There’s a new beast in town, and it’s not the bullish kind 🐂. Analysts spotted ModStealer, a sneaky malware that slips past most antiviruses, hides like a background service, and goes straight for the heart of our crypto lives — the wallets in our browsers.

It spreads via fake job ads (so next time you see “work from home, earn 10k a week”… méfiance, my friend). Once inside, it hunts for extensions, system data, and even certificates. On macOS it disguises itself as a “helper” and restarts every time you boot the machine.

The worst part? It targets the holy trinity of our sovereignty: private keys, seed phrases, and API keys. Lose those, and poof 💨 — your $BTC, $ETH, and everything else could vanish overnight.

Moral of the story: never click shady ads, double-check downloads, and for the love of crypto, don’t store your keys in plain sight. Cold wallets may look boring, but they’re still the king of safety.
