Crypto ATM operator hits the exit.
Crypto Dispensers plans a $100M sale amid criminal charges for its CEO.

Read this story with my late-night café on the terrasse, and mon dieu, it’s messy. Crypto Dispensers — one of the major U.S. Bitcoin ATM operators — just announced plans to sell the business at a valuation around $100M. Sounds bullish on paper… until you see the real reason behind the move.

Right before the sale news, the U.S. Department of Justice charged CEO Firas Isa with allegedly conspiring to launder $10M. Prosecutors claim that between 2018 and 2025 he knowingly accepted funds tied to online fraud and illegal drug activity through the company’s ATM network.

The company’s official press release tried to frame the sale as a decision made “amid market growth,” but — comme par hasard — nearly all materials were deleted shortly after, except for a lonely X post still hanging in the wind.

From my sunny southern corner, it feels like one of those classic crypto dramas: the business talks about expansion while the legal ground collapses beneath it. And a $100M valuation hits very differently when the DOJ is knocking on the door.

We’ll see who’s brave enough to buy this hot potato. 🌶⚡️
