Bitdeer drops new mining beasts.
Three new SEALMINER A4 models just landed, pushing efficiency and power further into industrial territory ⚡️
I was sipping my coffee this morning, scrolling through specs, and honestly… this is where mining starts to feel like Formula 1, not a garage hustle anymore. Bitdeer isn’t playing around.
Let’s break it down.
The A4 Ultra Hydro is a monster. 886 TH/s with 9.45 J/TH — that’s seriously tight efficiency. But of course, it runs on liquid cooling. This isn’t something you casually plug in next to your desk. This is infrastructure-level mining.
Then you’ve got the A4 Pro Hydro. Still heavy: 680 TH/s at 10.9 J/TH. Slightly less aggressive, but same philosophy — optimize for scale, not convenience.
And finally, the A4 Pro Air at 336 TH/s. Same efficiency as the Pro Hydro, but with air cooling. This is the “entry point”… if we can still call it that. Because even this one is far beyond what retail miners were dreaming about a few years ago.
What strikes me isn’t just the numbers — it’s the direction. Mining keeps drifting away from individuals and deeper into industrial zones. Liquid cooling, massive hashpower, razor-thin efficiency margins… this is a game for players with access to cheap energy and serious capital.
Back in the day, you could mine a bit of $BTC from your room and feel part of the network. Now? You’re competing with machines that look like they belong in a data center under the Alps.
Does that mean it’s over for small players? Not completely. But the edge… it’s clearly shifting. If you’re not optimizing power costs or scaling hard, you’re basically swimming against a current that keeps getting stronger.
Still, I can’t lie — there’s something fascinating about watching this arms race unfold. The machines get sharper, quieter (well, hydro at least 😄), more efficient… and the stakes get higher.
Mining isn’t dead. It’s just grown up.
