Bitcoin whitepaper at the coffee machine.

Bitcoin whitepaper at the coffee machine.

In Coinbase’s office, right next to the espresso stand, hangs a giant poster of the first page of the $BTC white paper.

I love this. Simple, symbolic, powerful. Every morning, employees grabbing their flat white are reminded why this whole industry exists in the first place. Not trading fees, not IPO valuations, but the original vision: peer-to-peer electronic cash, outside the reach of gatekeepers.

It’s easy to forget that in the daily grind of charts, regulations, and market noise. But having Satoshi’s words staring back at you in the break room? That’s like an anchor to the roots of crypto culture. Une piqûre de rappel.

For me, gestures like this matter. They keep the spirit alive inside big companies that risk becoming too corporate. Coinbase might be a Wall Street giant now, but at its core, it still owes everything to that nine-page PDF dropped anonymously in 2008.

Sometimes all it takes is a poster to remind us: we’re not just trading tokens, we’re part of a monetary revolution. 🚀
