Bitcoin miners are fighting for survival.
At current $BTC prices, only the most efficient rigs stay alive. Old machines are bleeding, new ones barely breathe.
With today’s network difficulty and electricity around $0.08/kWh, a chunk of popular miners is already running at break-even. No margin, no cushion — just noise and heat. Older, less efficient models? They’re basically mining hope. Without a much higher $BTC price, they’re operating at a loss.
The newer generation holds better. Their break-even sits roughly between $69k–$74k, which explains why we haven’t seen a full miner capitulation yet. They’re stressed, not dead. Big difference.
And then there’s the elite tier. High-hashrate, ultra-efficient monsters that keep printing even if $BTC drops toward $44k. These rigs decide who survives the bear and who sells hardware on Telegram groups.
Mining is a war of attrition. When price compresses, inefficiency gets flushed out quietly say by day. Historically, this is how the network hardens — fewer players, stronger ones left standing. Dur, mais logique. 😮💨
