Bitcoin at $3?

Bitcoin at $3? The Satoshi nightmare scenario.

A thought experiment is shaking crypto: what if early $BTC wallets get cracked?

The idea sounds straight out of a late-night YouTube rabbit hole. A future quantum computer breaks old Bitcoin cryptography, Satoshi’s coins move, and almost 1 million $BTC floods the market at once. One simulation even paints a collapse down to $3. Total carnage, total panic.

But take a breath. Willy Woo calls this scenario extremely unlikely — and I’m with him. Even if such a shock ever happened, Bitcoin wouldn’t just die on the spot. Markets don’t end, they adapt. Networks upgrade, rules change, and capital moves fast when fear peaks.

What people forget is human behavior. If chaos hits, long-term whales don’t run — they hunt. Big holders would likely use the panic to accumulate at absurd prices, not abandon ship. The system bends, it doesn’t vanish.

From my balcony, watching the sun drop into the sea 🌅, this feels like a classic crypto fear myth. Useful to think about, dangerous to obsess over. Yes, a real quantum threat would mean a slow, painful transition: wallet migrations, protocol upgrades, maybe even social consensus fights. Not an instant apocalypse.

Bitcoin at $3 makes for a great thumbnail. Reality is messier, slower, and far more resilient. Faut pas rêver.
