DeFi protocol hit by a $70M exploit targeting wrapped $ETH.
According to Nansen, attackers drained liquidity from Balancer pools using wrapped tokens — another reminder that even OG DeFi names aren’t safe from clever exploits. 🧠💀
$70M isn’t small change, but what hurts more is the déjà vu. Balancer’s had security issues before, and every new hack chips away at the trust DeFi’s been fighting to rebuild. Still, the tech evolves — slowly, painfully, but it does.
Personally, I keep some funds in DeFi, but I sleep better when most of my stack stays cold and offline. Comme toujours — yield tastes sweet until the smart contract bites back.
