AI starts cracking blockchain at scale.
Models now spot exploits almost like real hackers.

Reading this study tonight with the sea humming in the background gave me a little chill — modern AI models can now detect and simulate exploiting smart-contract vulnerabilities with nearly pro-level efficiency. C’est chaud.

Here’s what stunned me most: in simulations of contracts hacked after spring 2025, an AI model could have “stolen” up to $4.6m. And on 2849 brand-new contracts where no one had ever found an issue, the AI agent still uncovered two fresh vulnerabilities — enough for a theoretical $3.7k profit.

Even crazier, the profitability of such attacks is doubling every 1.5 months, while running the model costs around $1 per contract. That’s pocket change for industrial-scale bug hunting. Over the past year, AI has learned to detect more than half of all vulnerabilities that human attackers eventually exploited.

Walking home along the promenade, I couldn’t shake the feeling: we’re entering a new security era. Smart-contract defense now has to evolve as fast as AI offense. No more slow patches, no more lazy audits — the game just leveled up. ⚡️
